A: There are many raw file processing programs available to photographers, and almost all high-end cameras come with proprietary conversion software. I prefer to use two great Adobe products that have proven to deliver superb digital conversions. Adobe Camera Raw (CS3), and Adobe's newest raw editing software, Lightroom v2. Both authored with the help of Thomas Knoll, the man who co-created Photoshop. Q: What about hardware? A: This list is always being upgraded. Right now: 24" Mac for the studio and a 17" Sony Vaio laptop for mobility. Both color calibrated with Monaco Color Management. Wacom Pen Tablet, A tower of external storage drives and a whole lot of memory running both the Sony and Mac systems. Q: What is your turnaround time for processing images? A: The average turnaround for one complete job is typically one week from the day I receive your images. *Two day rush service is available, so please contact KMS-Digital for a quote. Q: How do I send my image files to you? A: You can burn your files on DVD, send a well packed external storage drive, or FTP. FedEx, UPS, and US Mail are all available. |
